Typical itinerary for the Pastoruri Glacier tour (1 day):

Departure from Huaraz: The tour usually starts early in the morning, around 6:00 AM, with pickup from your accommodation in Huaraz. From there, you will head south by vehicle.

Starting point at Pastoruri Glacier: After approximately 3 hours by car from Huaraz, you will arrive at the starting point for the hike to Pastoruri Glacier. The altitude at this point is about 4,800 meters (15,750 feet) above sea level.

Hike to the glacier: You will begin the hike from the starting point, gradually ascending through breathtaking mountainous scenery. The hike is of moderate difficulty and can take about 1 to 2 hours to reach the glacier front, located at an altitude of approximately 5,000 meters (16,400 feet).

Pastoruri Glacier: Upon reaching the front of Pastoruri Glacier, you can admire the view of this impressive glacier and its ice formations. You will have time to explore the surroundings and take photos.
