In Sicuani, you will stop to have breakfast and prepare for the hike to Huaqrapucara.

The trail is about 7 km long and has a moderate difficulty level. You will walk for about 2 hours, passing through agricultural fields, eucalyptus forests, and small rural communities. Upon arriving at Huaqrapucara, you will have time to explore the archaeological site and learn about its history and significance.

Huaqrapucara means “sacred fortress” in Quechua and was a ceremonial center dedicated to the worship of the sun and the moon.
